I want to go to bed. It’s early, yes–even earlier if you look at the clocks I’ve already turned back for Daylight Savings Time. But I’m exhausted, and I want to go to bed. I want to feel like I got an extra hour’s sleep when my alarm goes off at 5:30 tomorrow morning in preparation for Sunday worship. I want to snuggle under my covers on this cold and blustery night on which we saw the first snowflakes of the season.
Instead, I am writing. It is the first day of November. The big National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) is upon us, and I’m signed up, trying again to do this thing. I have a lot going on in my life right now, including a new part-time job, so it’s going to be tough. Plus, as demonstrated in past attempts at NaBloPoMo, I’m great at starting things and not so much with the follow-through.
But I also hate to give up. I am determined to try again, to push and stretch and challenge myself.
So here I am. One day down. Twenty-nine to go. (Hopefully at least some of them will be exponentially more interesting than this one). Onward and upward!
