Whoa. I just checked in on a Yahoo group for women who chose to be single mothers, and they have more acronyms than the US Military. TTC, dpo, RE, BFN & BFP, AF…the list goes on. No, really, there’s a list. The moderator sent one out when she accepted my request for membership. Guess I better get used to it. Maybe I should come up with some of my own, like:
- YAOOYM: You Are Out Of Your Mind–common response (or look) I receive when sharing my intended journey
- BBE: Baby Bump Envy
- NKF: No Kids Freedom–what people with kids tell us childless folk we should be grateful for
- EP: Emotional Porn–includes A Baby Story, Adoption Stories, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition…any show guaranteed to induce tears of joy, sadness, heartache, or all of the above and then some
I’m going to try and start working these into my life. Are there any I missed?
